Are You Using a Tribe to Get Superb Comments and Targeted Traffic to Your Blog? You Should be…

by Kevin

Following up on my last post: Business Blogging With the Online Marketing Trinity we talked about what your blog is, how to set it up, and how you should be positioning it in the online business blogging space.

Important Tip: Don’ forget your USP- Unique Selling Point. This is what is going to make you different than all the other blogs out there.

Traffic

The next thing you need to focus on is Traffic. Just because you have a beautifully designed blog and you are writing great content, it doesn’t mean that people will now find your blog and join your business. It doesn’t happen like that.

So, how do you get traffic to your blog?

There are a number of methods to use, but the method I want to talk about here is the quickest and most effective I have found. It’s called the Tribe Syndication Association or TSA for short.

Tribe

The TSA is a community of online business bloggers who believe in reciprocity and the power of a tribe. Membership into the TSA is free other than a one-time application fee (I think it’s something small like $19.95… but, I honestly can’t remember :) ) and there are video tutorials that will guide you step by step through the system training.  Don’t worry, it’s not difficult.

Once your account is set-up, you will be placed into a small group of bloggers. This is your syndication group for the week. Each week you will have new members in your group as it rotates. Your task for the week is to comment on one or two other blogs, in your group, each day and then share those blogs through social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, G+, Digg, etc… And each day the members of your group will comment on your blog and share your content with their friends and followers. Excellent concept, huh?

Social Proof

Now when a new visitor comes to your site and sees 20+ comments and a ton of social shares, it gives you social proof. Social proof is so powerful, it could end up being the reason why a new prospect might choose to work with you over someone else.

A blog with zero comments and only a few social shares (most likely by the blogger themselves) is not taken seriously. The TSA is an instant solution to that problem.

The traffic and social proof that the TSA provides is reason enough to join, but the biggest advantage of participating as a member of the TSA is Relationship Marketing.

Relationship Marketing

By syndicating others content in your group each week, you will read their blogs, interact on Facebook and other social sites, chat on Skype, and get to know them better and find out what they are all about. You’ll find each week that two or three people in your group are really on the same page with you and a natural likeness and business relationship will develop. That doesn’t mean that you start selling them your business or products the next day. Relationship marketing is about building friendships and helping each other out. If the right information, opportunity, or contact comes along that helps you or the other person, then share it or be open to listening.

Lifelong friendships can be built here and the power of a tribe is always better than going it alone.

If you find this article informative, please share it with others… the bigger the tribe, the better. If you would like to see a complete overview of the TSA, click here- TSA

Hi Kevin, I couldn’t agree more to this post because I’ve been with TSA for a while now. It is a powerful tribe. Besides the business it pulls in, the folks are the greatest I’ve ever met.

Hey Kevin, first of all – yep, there’s a one time $19 fee for joining TSA, but I agree it is SO worth it! I’ve been a member for about 5 months now and my blog has gone from a page rank of “0″ to “3″ in that time, in large part as a result of my activities within TSA. Of course, like anything in life, you get out of membership what you put in to it. It’s a commitment, but well worth it for someone who’s serious about growing a online business.

Hi Marquita,

Thanks for confirming the fee. The TSA is a commitment, but only in time, energy, and effort ;) I say that in jest… I like to be upfront about what it is going to take to be successful with something and the hardest part for most is that commitment of yourself and not your money. That’s where meaningful success lies though. Your commitment in TSA gets noticed by many I’m sure… up near the top most weeks :)

All the best,
Kevin

Hi Kevin,

I have been in TSA for a year and have 500 comments on my blog as a result. Whie this is good and ahs given me a PR of 3 with google, I think you need to do more to get traffice, such as SEO, videos and articles. I am going to start pushing them on my blog soon, so it will be interesting.

On my other blogs, I get all my traffic from SEO and my lists. TSA is great as part of your overall strategy.

Hi Kevin,

I agree, TSA is an amazing platform for individuals to build solid relationships and support each other in building their businesses. It’s a win-win for everyone and it’s an incredible “deal”, only $19.00 to join. I’m in it for the long-term, knowing that it’s leaders are so committed to our success and who continually put in so time and much effort to maintain a platform that supports that.

Kevin,
One of my favorite Internet tasks for the week is posting comments to the good people I’ve met at TSA. It’s been one of the best investments of my time online. I strongly suggest if you are looking to boost your ranking and the number of intelligent comments to your blog get involved with TSA.
Thanks, Kevin.

Great post, Kevin! You are so right about the nature of tribes. I’m in TSA as well, and it has been very good to me. What is so great about it is that you tend to get what you give. If you work and make it to the elite tribes, you’ll see a lot more comments. Also, the other great thing about TSA is that the tribes rotate, so you can see several new people each week.

You make a great case for joining a Tribe, Kevin.

There’s really no substitute, especially when you are just starting out. Going it alone may seem like a good idea, but it will cost you dearly in time… your most precious asset. For all the months, if not years, it takes you to build a following using social media, it really amounts to reinventing the wheel by failing to join with others in a tribe community.

Hey David,

Excellent, excellent point about giving up time as your most important asset when trying to go it alone! A tribe is just a more structured community of online friends working to help each other out… it’s really great.

Thanks for the comment :)

Hey Kevin,

Excellent article on tribes and in particular the TSA.

I am also a part of the TSA and have meet so many fantastic people over the last year and have started to build some pretty awesome relationships which I hope will last for years to come!

Many people for some reason feel that they need to do this business on their own. That couldn’t be further from the truth. There are so many helpful resources which are available to you in the industry and the TSA is definitely one of them.

Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful program with others.

Hi Kevin, I’ve found out how important TSA is for anybody that wants to get on the top of the search engines. There are so many things that need to be done to get there and people can get traffic like crazy but you need to have backlinks for sure. All the extra branding and social proof is just the icing on the cake. Get enough people to a good post to check it out is what marketing online is all about. Thanks for the post. Your post on relationship marketing was a really good read.

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for sharing this post. Talking about the benefits of a tribe and especially TSA is one of my favorite topics.

There can be a steep learning curve when you first venture online as a new Networker and even for those who have experience, but are not able to generate the much needed traffic.

You should never try to be a lone wolf and do it by yourself. If you want to accelerate your growth, you need to be a part of a Blog Syndication tribe.

TSA is one of those rare communities where you will find a bunch of committed, like minded entrepreneurs that understand the importance of helping one another, so we can all reach our goals and hopefully achieve the success we are looking for.

Keep inspiring us,
Marc

Kevin, I agree with you about the power of TSA, I’ve recommended it to my list as well as people who ask me about ways to get more traffic. It’s tough when you have a brand new blog and TSA helps get some activity and “social proof” going.
